Wren was named 'Auren' at birth, so named for her golden eyes. Although she was born physically male, she never felt comfortable presenting herself that way while growing up. She idolized her older sisters and wanted to be a warrior like them, but her body was weak and scrawny, having inherited virtually nothing of her father's predatorial physique.

To overcome her physical limitations in hope of gaining her father's favor, she underwent numerous body modifications, including having her hands and legs modified to have sharp claws and enhanced muscles, and dental reconstruction to give her predator's teeth.

Despite the immense physical and mental strain these and other modifications put her under, she thought it would all be worth it if her father saw her as a capable warrior like her sisters.

The gender-affirming therapy, however? That was all for her.
